Mumford + the xx are coming

There’s a lot of musical anticipation going on worldwide at the moment for forthcoming releases in the not too distant future from both Mumford and Sons and the xx.

Both of these artists have gained great notoriety and large fanbases with their début releases and it gives me great pleasure to share that both Mumford and Sons’ Babel and The xx’s Coexist will drop next month.

The xx have released a couple of tracks of tracks that have seen the resurrection of their name, reminding us why we fell in love with them the first time. They are the perfect explanation of less is more. They also claim that Coexist will have a few dance floor bangers. I’m interested, and equally worried, to see how that turns out considering the fact that their sound is not really an upbeat one. Time will tell.

Meanwhile, Mumford and Sons have also shared their first single, gathering a huge amount of attention and excitement. I dare say that they have outdone themselves, which is difficult to fathom considering the flawlessness of their début.

  1. agree that the xx and dance floor don’t really seem to go together. the band seems to have such a good handle on their sound like I could see them pulling it off, though.
